It was, as expected, another domination of the 2013 World Motocross Championship at the weekend at Arco Di Trento, Italy by the Factory KTM Red Bull team as Tony Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings won both their respective MX1 and MX2 motos to extend their championship points leads.
MX2
Another masterful display of precocious talent saw Herlings once again cruise to victory as he nailed both motos to continue his undefeated streak in MX2 this year, wile his Factory KTM Red Bull team-mate Jordi Tixier seems to be finding his groove in such a strong team set-up and claimed 2nd overall for the GP.
Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Glen Coldenhoff of Standing Construct KTM put in another strong result with overall 5th place, and Dylan Ferrandis of Monster Energy Yamaha also has now started to come up with the goods once again as he posted 6th overall on RT footpegs.
MX1
Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Gautier Paulin of the Factory Kawasaki Racing Team put in a solid performance in MX1 claiming third on the podium, equal on overall points for the event with Cairoli's Factory KTM team-mate Ken De Dycker, going from 18th place all the way up to finish 4th in the second race.
Paulin's KRT team-mate Jeremy Van Horebeek claimed his first ever top-ten position in Italy with an overall 9th place as he adjusts to life on the bigger bikes and seems to be learning fast after being hampered with injuries at the beginning of the season.
Monster Energy CLS Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Tommy Searle flew the flag for the British contingent on Raptor Titanium footpegs as he also has to get used to the MX1 class with a consistent overall 6th place.
Our sponsored riders on RT footpegs rounded out the top ten with Ice One Racing's Xavier Boog claiming overall 8th and KTM STR's Jonathan Barragan put in overall 10th, just ahead of his speedily recovering team-mate Matiss Karro who got 11th.
