A 22,000-strong crowd of Scandinavian motocross fans was entertained at the weekend as the MXGP World Championship headed to Sweden, the scene of a major upset last year as Tony Cairoli scored a double DNF and handed the red plate to Clement Desalle...
...No such scenario this weekend as the current World Champion looked completely in control and took a solid 1-1 result, ominous signs for his rivals as after Sweden last year he dropped just one race to cement his dominance of the series.
The Raptor Titanium sponsored Kawasaki Racing Team kept in touch though with both Paulin and Van Horebeek taking fifth and sixth position overall respectively, particularly for Paulin who stays second in the points standings and 69 points behind the World Champion.
Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Alessandro Lupino of CLS Pro Circuit Monster Energy Kawasaki kept his excellent current form going with a very strong overall fifth in the demanding conditions of Uddevalla.
Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Jeremy Van Horebeek showed continued improvement with an excellent overall sixth
Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Gautier Paulin of Factory Kawasaki Racing Team took a consistent overall fifth to stay in the title hunt
