Tomac edges points lead on Wilson in Seattle as Ryan Sipes takes Lites Class Win to top an all-Raptor Titanium rider podium and Roczen takes second in his first ever outing in the Supecross Class
With all the success of Raptor Titanium sponsored riders in Bulgaria at the World MX GP this weekend it is with great pleasure we write with equally successful news State-side as our sponsored teams and riders got 1, 2 and 3 in the 250 Lites Class Main Event and a second for Ken Roczen in his first ever Supercross Class Main Event aboard the 350SX-F KTM on Saturday night.
250 West 15 lap Main Event
With the perfect track conditions and high anticipation the West series kicked off again with the crowd at fever pitch by the time the gate dropped for the 250 Lites Class Main Event. Raptor Titanium riders Eli Tomac of Geico Honda and Ryan Sipes of Star Valli Yamaha battled exiting the first corner with Sipes easing out the advantage at the end of the first lap, with Tomac in second and Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Dean Wilson in third. In lap 2, Wilson passed Tomac to take second place with Sipes sprinting off to a sizeable lead. At this point Marvin Musquin was in ninth, but not for long as he was about to have a storming race from the middle of the pack right up to second position.
Lap 8 saw Tomac have a nasty collision with Wilson, sending the Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider tumbling to the ground, with Tomac managing to stay aboard his Geico Honda machine. At this point, Tomac was back up to second with fellow Geico Honda Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Will Hahn in third. Musquin was scything his way through the field up to sixth position, with Wison behind him after his fall.
By lap 14 Musquin had got up to third place and was dicing with Tomac, and not to be denied, passed the Geico Honda man to move up from ninth to second place, an incredible performance from the Raptor Titanium sponsored KTM Red Bull USA rider.
Ryan Sipes took the win, with Marvin Musquin in second and Eli Tomac in third to round off an all-Raptor Titanium sponsored rider podium.

450 Supercross 20 lap Main Event
Former KTM Red Bull USA rider Andrew Short took a storming holeshot on his Honda, with Raptor Titanium's Ken Roczen in second and Monster Energy Kawasaki's Jake Weimer third. Roczen's team-mate and fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Ryan Dungey sat in fifth place, his first race after coming back from a collarbone injury. The 2012 Champion Ryan Villopoto fell at the first corner and limped from the track with a leg injury.
Roczen pressured Short from lap 1, but the more experienced Supercross rider managed to hold off the prodigal talent of Roczen, their battle meaning they pulled away from the rest of the field early on. The dicing was classic Supercross from start to finish as they passed each other almost every corner on some laps.
There was a breath-holding moment on lap six as Dungey went down, however he quickly recovered getting straight back on and not losing a single place.
Towards the end of the race Andrew Short managed to create a slender lead over Roczen and retained it until the chequered flag and his first ever Supercross Main Event win! Dungey managed to hang to sixth with an impressive return to racing.
