TOMMY SEARLE SIGNS OFF 250 MX2 CAREER IN STYLE AS HE SCORES 1-1 AT TEUTSCHENTHAL

Huge crowds flocked to see the final round of the 2012 Motocross World Championship at Teutschenthal last weekend, but with both MX1 and MX2 titles being sewn up at Faenza in Italy several weeks ago, the focus was more on the star power of Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Ken Roczen, now riding for KTM Red Bull USA, making his MX1 debut on the KTM 350SX-F machine in front of his home-crowd.

Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Tommy Searle of Floride Pro Circuit Monster Energy Kawasaki checked out his MX2 career in dominant fashion on GP day as he took a commanding 1-1 result to set himself up for next year in the MX1 class.

It was also a fantastic day for the Raptor Titanium sponsored Monster Energy Bike It Cosworth Yamaha team as Zach Osborne got 2nd on the overall podium in his last ever World Championship GP before he moves to the Raptor Titanium sponsored Geico Honda squad next year to race in the US, with Arnaud Tonus taking 3rd overall on the podium behind his team-mate to cement an all-Raptor Titanium sponsored rider MX2 podium to end a great year for us as we now look forward to next year for more great racing!

Ken Roczen did not disappoint on the day either in the MX1 class as he battled with the top guys in the MX1 standings Clement Desalle and Antonio Cairoli to take overall 2nd on the podium. 3rd man in the final championship standings and Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Gautier Paulin finished overall 5th to round off a solid year for him on the green machine.

BLAKE BAGGETT HANGS ON TO WIN 2012 AMA 250 OUTDOOR MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP

A well organized and structured race meeting was the venue at Lake Elsinore for the twelfth and final meet of the 2012 Outdoor AMA series, with all to play for in the 250 class as the Raptor Titanium sponsored Geico Honda riders Eli Tomac and Justin Barcia were within striking distance of Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Blake Baggett for the championship title.

Having already sewn up the title several weeks ago, it was still our sponsored man Ryan Dungey of KTM Red Bull USA taking yet another overall 1-1 result and victory in the 450 class to make the year even better for KTM Red Bull if that were possible.

250 Lites Class

It was Eli Tomac on top in qualifying with a super-speddy 2:36 lap time around the incredibly long Lake Elsinore circuit, with fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored riders Ken Roczen and Marvin Musquin of KTM Red Bull behind in second and third.

Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Eli Tomac

The KTM Red Bull and Raptor Titanium riders Marvin Musquin and Ken Roczen followed up a good qualifying session to take first and second out of the gate, but were soon chased down by Justin Barcia as Roczen went down early on. Tomac fought to get up front to gain points on the championship leader Baggett who in turn was furiously battling with Barcia up at the front. Tomac soon got around Musquin into third and began pressuring Baggett in a thrilling three-way race for the win. Baggett characteristically turned up the heat at the end and stormed to the win to edge closer to the 2012 title with Tomac in 2nd and Barcia 3rd. Musquin kept it upright to take 4th with Geico Honda and Raptor Titanium sponsored man Wil Hahn in 5th.

With many of the main competitors going down or getting bad starts on the first lap of the second moto there was everything to play for, however as long as Baggett finished 13th the title was his. Tomac went down on lap one so it was down to Barcia to try and salvage the championship and with a valiant effort he won the race, but with an absolutely flying Baggett who stormed up from 11th to 2nd in the race, at one point going four seconds a lap faster than Barcia he was never going to be beaten on the day.

Congratulations to Blake Baggett, 2012 250 AMA Outdoor Motocross Champion!

TOTAL DOMINANCE FROM KTM RED BULL FACTORY TEAM AT LIEROP ONCE AGAIN TO ALMOST CERTAINLY CEMENT BOTH TITLES FOR THEM AGAIN IN 2012

The tough sand of Lierop is legendarily unforgiving and is the perfect terrain for KTM Red Bull man-to-beat in the MX2 class Jeff Herlings as he stormed to a 1-1 result in front of his home crowd at the weekend to take himself to 65 points ahead of nearest championship rival, Raptor Titanium sponsored Brit Tommy Searle who took a 4-4 result and dropped badly needed points ending almost all hopes of championship contention for the Brit with two rounds left to go.

In the MX1 class it was once again all about Tony Cairoli who showed his class and obliterated the field with another 1-1 result and yet another overall GP result to add to his growing tally. Whether it be sand or hard-pack it doesn't seem to bother the Italian who just keeps on winning.

Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Gautier Paulin of the Factory Kawasaki Racing Team moved up to 3rd place in the standings after Christophe Pourcel scored two DNF's and slipped down to fourth place, just 6 points ahead of 5th place Ken De Dycker now.

Both Herlings and Cairoli can now sew up the titles at the European GP in Italy next weekend.

DUNGEY KEEPS ON WINNING AT ROUND 11 OF 2012 AMA MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP, WITH FINAL SHOWDOWN IN STORE AS TOMAC SWEEPS BOTH MOTOS TO KEEP BAGGETT WITHIN STRIKING DISTANCE

Track conditions were perfect as the 2012 AMA Motocross Championship rolled into Steel City, Delmont at the weekend. With Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Ryan Dungey of KTM Red Bull USA having already won the 450 Championship the main events were undoubtedly the fiercely competitive 250 Lites Class races which is still very much hanging in the balance with Raptor Titanium sponsored riders Ken Roczen, Eli Tomac and Justin Barcia all in with a chance clinching the title.

250 Lites

The fastest man of the weekend was undoubtedly our sponsored rider Eli Tomac on the CRF250F machine powering to the fastest qualifying lap by almost two seconds quicker than fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider, KTM Red Bull USA man Ken Roczen.

In the first race it was championship leader Blake Baggett of the Pro Circuit Kawasaki squad who took the holeshot, but looked to be riding safe and soon surrendered the lead to Justin Barcia. Roczen sat in third but soon relinquished that spot to a rampant Eli Tomac who showed the class he had in qualifying by storming right up to the back wheel of Barcia to make for a spectacular last few laps as the two Geico Honda men battled for the lead, the quicker Tomac edging out his team-mate to take the first moto win. Barcia settled for 2nd ahead of Roczen in 3rd. Baggett seemed content with 4th to keep himself at the top of the points.

The second race saw an utterly dominant performance from Tomac who rounded the first corner behind rookie Jeremy Martin who he soon dispatched with ease and led the entire race from there. Nobody else got a look in as he completed the 1-1 result to take himself second in the overall championship points table, just 14 behind Baggett with one round to go which will set up some compelling racing for next week's season climax at Lake Elsinore.

Overall winner at Steel City - Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Eli Tomac!

450 Motocross Class

It was all about Raptor Titanium sponsored man Mike Alessi of Motoconcepts Suzuki in qualifying as he set a blistering fast lap time ahead of fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored riders Nico Izzi of Star Valli Yamaha second fastest and Josh Grant of Jeff Ward Racing Kawasaki fourth fastest.

Despite a poor qualifying performance Ryan Dungey continued his winning ways, grabbing the holeshot in the first race and not surrendering the lead all race ahead of Andrew Short in 2nd and Mike Alessi in 3rd.

Things weren't as straight forward in the second race for the KTM Red Bull USA man with Mike Alessi getting a much better start, leading almost the entire race with Josh Grant in second. Dungey soon fired into action and tore his way up through the field to eventually close down Alessi and take yet another 1-1 result this year.

SUPER STRIJBOS TAKES KEN HALL TROPHY WITH THREE WINS AND TONUS AND OSBORNE BACK ON FORM AT ROUND 7 OF BRITISH MX CHAMPIONSHIP AT LANGRISH

The forecast didn't look good but the weather gods once again smiled down on the British MX Championship yesterday as the crowds flocked to the classic circuit at Langrish, Petersfield which is not 10 miles from where the British GP was held last week at Matterley Basin.

MX2

The Raptor Titanium sponsored Bike It Monster Energy Yamaha team were out in force at the weekend with Zach Osborne and Arnaud Tonus up at the front again after both coming back from injuries sustained earlier in the season. Championship contenders and fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored riders Elliot Banks-Browne of HM Plant KTM UK and Mel Pocock, also of Monster Energy Yamaha were in the mix at the front as well making for some great racing.

After an awful start in the first race and clawing his way back up to an impressive 6th place finish in the first race, Tonus went on to edge out his team-mate Osborne in the next two races to secure a 6-1-1 result on the day, 2nd on the box to Osborne whose 1-2-2 result was good enough to get him the overall result.

Despite taking a storming holeshot in the last MX2 race of the day, EBB could not hold hoff Osborne and Tonus but made sure he stayed ahead of Pocock to keep himself in the points race going into the final round in October.

MX1

It was all about the man-to-beat this year, Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Kevin Strijbos took three holeshots and three emphatic wins around the fine soil of Langrish, the pace never looking too much for him as he cruised to win the Ken Hall trophy, the overall win with a 1-1-1 result and extended his points lead in the championship, making any challenges on him winning the title very slim indeed.

Fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Bike It Cosworth Monster Energy Yamaha man Shaun Simpson had no answer to the Belgian in 2nd place overall on the day and is now over 50 points in arrears so barring Strijbos not racing the final round the championship looks like his for the losing.

DUNGEY WINS 2012 OUTDOOR AMA MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP, WITH ROCZEN WINNING HIS FIRST EVER US RACE AND MUSQUIN WINNING HIS FIRST OVERALL WIN IN THE US

Cool conditions with little rain promised great racing action that didn't disappoint at the weekend at Round 10 of the 2012 AMA Motocross Championship as our sponsored team KTM Red Bull USA had their most successful outing ever with Ryan Dungey cementing the 450 title for the second time in his career and the first ever US title for KTM, Ken Roczen taking his first ever race win in the US and Marvin Musquin taking his first ever overall win in the US with a 2-3 result.

250 Lites

Qualifying fastest, Musquin looked good from the get-go, putting in a superbly consistent performance to grind out the overall win.

Race one saw Raptor Titanium sponsored newcomer Zach Bell of the Geico Honda team holeshot, with series points leader Blake Baggett in second and rival and Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Justin Barcia in third. Capitalizing on a mistake by Baggett, Roczen quickly zoomed into second place and put the pressure on Bell for the lead, with Musquin moving up fast as he also passed Baggett for third place. Soon the two orange riders had first and second place and were on track for a historic KTM 1-2 in the Lites Class in AMA Motocross, crossing the line in emphatic style to cement the result. Rockstar Suzuki and fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored men Blake Wharton and Jason Anderson took 4th and 5th behind Baggett.

Race two saw another Geico Honda out front early on as Barcia grabbed the holeshot, followed by team-mates Justin Bogle and Zach Bell. It was a Raptor Titanium sponsored rider infested field up front as Musquin sat in fourth, Eli Tomac in fifth, Wil Hahn in sixth and Martin Davalos in seventh. Tomac then made an astonishing charge up the pack, soon getting on Barcia's back wheel, making a clean pass and sealing yet another victory for the Raptor Titanium sponsored Geico Honda man this year and cementing a Raptor Titanium 1-2-3 on the box overall. Musquin took 3rd behind Barcia to get the overall victory, with Bogle in 4th, Baggett in 5th and winner of race one Ken Roczen in 6th.

450 Motocross Class

Ryan Dungey made history this weekend, taking his second 450 Motocross Class title in his career and KTM's first ever Motocross title in the USA.

With his closest rival in the championship and fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Mike Alessi scoring 10th overall on the day and Dungey taking yet another overall victory with a 1-1 score, nobody is now close enough on points to catch Dungey making him the champion-elect this year and much deservedly so.

The fastest man at the beginning of the season James Stewart had an awful weekend, having more crashes and scoring 15th overall.

Jeff Ward Racing Kawasaki and Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Josh Grant scored a solid 5th overall, ahead of fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored man Nico Izzi of the Star Valli Yamaha team who was 6th overall. Grant's team-mate Kyle Chisholm took overall 9th.

2012 AMA Motocross Champion, Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Ryan Dungey of KTM Red Bull USA!

BRITISH GP SPECIAL: DOUBLE WINS FOR TOMMY SEARLE AND WINS FOR RAPTOR TITANIUM SPONSORED RIDERS IN EMX AND 125cc CLASSES

Glorious sunshine beamed throughout the whole weekend at Matterley Basin as Round 13 of the 2012 FIM World MX Championship saw a spectacular festival of motocross thrill and entertan the crowds all weekend and saw some fantastic results from our sponsored riders.

HM Plant KTM UK's James Dunn took an ecstatic win in the second 125cc class race of the weekend before the main event action kicked off, getting one of many British wins for the weekend and certainly rewarding all his hard work this year.

Fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider also on a HM Plant KTM UK machine Natalie Kane put in a great performance in the WMX class scoring 3-2 result for the weekend and securing yet another excellent British result.

It was unfortunately a disappointing weekend for our sponsored rider and current red-plate holder in the MX2 class of the British Championship Mel Pocock as he just missed out on a home GP podium as fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Maxime Desprey of the Floride Pro Circuit Monster Energy Kawasaki team took a 1-1 result to take the overall on the day.

MX2

After a dominant display in qualifying it looked as though the Factory KTM Red Bull team were going to prove too strong for their rivals scoring a 1st and 2nd result in the qualifying race, the series points leader and almost certain 2012 MX2 World Champion Jeff Herlings taking the race win. Raptor Titanium sponsored home hero and crowd favourite Tommy Searle of Floride Pro Circuit Monster Energy Kawasaki pushed the Dutchman hard and went down mid-way through the race, managing to battle back up to 6th place place to get a decent gate pick for race day. Raptor Titanium sponsored Bike It Cosworth Monster Energy Yamaha rider Zach Osborne looks to be recovering well from injury as he took 3rd in the qualifying race.

It soon transpired that Tommy's pick of the gate proved his master stroke of the weekend as he stormed both holeshots ahead of the pokey KTM's out of the starting blocks and controlled the racing from there. Herlings pushed him hard all day, remaining on his back wheel through the majority of the races, but found no answer to Searle's prowess in front of the fervent home-crowd as Herlings dropped it late in both races striving for the lead. With a 1-1 result, Tommy won the GP and closed the points gap slightly on Herlings who took a 2-2 result with two rounds left to go.

Zach Osborne replicated his form on qualifying day and took a 4-3 result for a 3rd on the box in front of a supportive British crowd. His team-mate and fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Arnaud Tonus had a solid weekend as well scoring a 6-6 result to take 6th overall.

It was also an excellent weekend for the Raptor Titanium sponsored Rockstar Bud Racing Kawasaki team who's riders scored 7th and 8th overall for the weekend with Dylan Ferrandis scoring a 7-7 result and Valentin Teillet getting and 8-8 result.

It was also a good ride from British and Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Elliot Banks-Browne of HM Plant KTM UK who took a 13-18 result on the day to take a solid result.

MX1

Antonio Cairoli continued his utterly devastating run of form on the super-smooth Matterley Basin track comfortably taking a 1-1 result to almost certainly cement the 2012 World MX1 title for his 6th title and took his 51st overall GP win. Fellow Factory KTM Red Bull man Max Nagl has returned from career-threatening injury to go 2-2 on the day and helps extend Cairoli's championship lead.

Raptor Titanium sponsored Factory Kawasaki Racing Team rider Gautier Paulin took overall 3rd with a 3-4 to return to good form after a disappointing few GP's for him in his first year in the MX1 class. His team-mate and fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Xavier Boog took 5-7 on the day to go 5th overall with a solid performance.

Home-crowd favourite and Raptor Titanium's Shaun Simpson put in a fantastic performance to go 10-13 for the day on his Bike It Cosworth Monster Energy Yamaha.

HM Plant KTM UK's Kevin Strijbos on Raptor Titanium footpegs put in a characteristically consistent performance to take overall 8th with a 7-12 result for the day, maintaining 6th in the points standings just ahead of fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Xavier Boog on the KRT machine.

ANOTHER OVERALL WIN FOR RYAN DUNGEY AT SOUTHWICK WITH TOMAC TYING ON POINTS WITH BAGGETT IN LITES CLASS

The first sand-track of the year in the 2012 AMA Motocross Championship awaited the return of the riders at the weekend, with perfect conditions kicking off the day.

250 Lites Class

Qualifying fastest was Raptor Titanium sponsored championship contender Eli Tomac of the Geico Honda squad, ahead of team-mate and fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored man Justin Barcia.

Geico Honda's latest acquisition and Raptor Titanium sponsored man Zach Bell took the first holeshot in the first race, but it was to be a huge learning curve for the newcomer as championship contenders Eli Tomac, Marvin Musquin of KTM Red Bull USA and Blake Baggett sat right behind pressuring all the way.

Tomac took advantage of Bell going down on lap six and moved into the lead with a strong advantage over second place Marvin Musquin and then Blake Baggett. The three remained that way to the chequered flag, with Raptor Titanium's Ken Roczen in 4th and Blake Wharton taking 6th.

The second race was much more akin to what we have seen this year as Blake Baggett had an epic battle with our sponsored man Ken Roczen of KTM Red Bull USA. Both passed holeshotter Jessy Nelson very early in the race and the other three championship rivals Musquin, Tomac and Barcia were not far behind.

As the track cut up really rough late in the race, lap times began to tumble as they struggled to carve their way through the tricky sand conditions, with Baggett taking advantage of this and showing he is certainly the strongest rider this year moving into the lead and the race win, with Roczen 2nd and Tomac in 3rd to tie with Baggett on points for the day.

450 Motocross Class

Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Broc Tickle was on top in qualifying for the 450 class, with Raptor Titanium sponsored man and championship points leader Ryan Dungey of KTM Red Bull USA in 2nd.

Raptor Titanium sponsored championship 2nd place man Mike Alessi of Motoconcepts Suzuki took the holeshot in race 1 but Dungey was really close behind, moving into the lead on lap 5 to complete another routine win for the KTM rider with Alessi taking a hard-earned 2nd.

Race 2 looked to be going the same way with Alessi taking yet another holeshot this year with Dungey moving past very early on this time and easing out a comfortable lead. This was where the similarities with previous races this year ended though as Dungey took a tumble into the sand and Alessi regained the lead. Dungey managed to get himself back on the bike and running again in second place, with a charging Tyla Rattray of Pro Circuit Kawasaki sitting in third.

Dungey put in an absolutely storming lap to take control of the race once more and retake the lead, but damage to the bike meant he had to stop and take on fuel and came out behind Rattray who had overtaken Alessi into the lead!

After a blistering quick pit stop, Dungey came out close to Rattray and pressured the South African right to the chequered flag, coming in 2nd behind Rattray who took his first ever 450 moto win. Alessi came a solid 3rd place, with fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored riders Josh Grant and Kyle Chisholm of Jeff Ward Racing Kawasaki coming 8th and 9th.

KTM RED BULL CONTINUES DOMINATION THIS YEAR AS HERLINGS AND CAIROLI CLEAN UP AT LOKET, CZECH REPUBLIC

Balmy, warm conditions ensured a good turnout at Loket in the Czech Republic at the weekend as thousands of MX fans poured into the venue to watch the racing action from Round 12 of the 2012 FIM World MX Championship.

In the the European MX Championship Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Mel Pocock of Bike It Cosworth Monster Energy Yamaha took another race win and a 2nd place to keep his dominant form in the EMX class.

MX2

It all seemed too easy for KTM Red Bull's Jeffrey Herlings who breezed to victory in the first MX2 moto of the day, with Raptor Titanium sponsored Brit Tommy Searle of Floride Pro Circuit Monster Energy Kawasaki unable to respond to the hard-pack prowess of the young Dutchman. Herlings team-mate Jeremy Van Horebeek of KTM Red Bull suffered mechanical issues in the first race and so scored a DNF in moto 1, good news for Tommy Searle who extended his points advantage over the Belgian, but unfortunately yielding more points to extend Herlings' lead at the top of the championship.

The second moto was much more action-packed as Herlings went down trying to pass Van Horebeek early in the race, allowing Searle to get right on the Dutchman's back wheel and put some serious pressure on as Van Horebeek extended out a considerable lead, with Searle eventually muscling Herlings out of the way on an uphill corner causing Herlings to hit the dirt. But the KTM Factory rider showed great resilience and strength as he picked himself up and started after Searle, eventually catching back the Brit after four laps and then easily catching Van Horebeek who seemed to slow considerably to allow Herlings past for the win. Van Horebeek then took 2nd in moto 2 behind his team-mate which saw Searle lose even more points, now going 57 points behind with three rounds to go which is looking unassailable at this stage.

It was an excellent day for the Raptor Titanium sponsored Bike It Cosworth Monster Energy Yamaha team as Zach Osborne looks to be recovering well from injury taking overall 3rd at the GP this weekend which looks to be turning the dreadful fortunes of the team this year which has been plagued with bad luck.

Tommy Searle

It was a shame for the overall MX2 GP winner Joel Roelants, Tommy Searle's Raptor Titanium sponsored team-mate as he came in 8th overall.

It was an excellent outing however for Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Valentin Teillet of Rockstar Bud Racing Kawasaki as he managed to score 6th overall.

It was a triumphant return to racing for Factory KTM's Max Nagl as he scored an impressive 3-4 overall result, including a storming holeshot in race 2 after months of continuous back surgery following an injury sustained last year. Tony Cairoli stepped back into business-as-usual form after a double win in Russia last week to secure yet another 1-1 result for the Czech GP and bringing up his 50th career GP win to put him with the greats of the sport.

Raptor Titanium's Christophe Pourcel of CP377 Kawasaki chalked up a 2-3 result for the day, dropping points after a crash late in the second moto gifting the 2nd place finish to Clement Desalle, but Pourcel's 2nd to Desalle's 4th in moto 1 secured an overall 2nd for the Frenchman.

Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Xavier Boog of the factory Kawasaki Racing Team secured one of his best results of the season with overall 5th behind Nagl, with his team-mate Gautier Paulin finishing overall 8th.

After a tough year, Raptor Titanium's Greg Aranda of 2B Yamaha scored his best result this year with overall 10th.

Great result for Raptor Titanium's Shaun Simpson who moved into the top ten of the championship points standings with 223 points!

RAPTOR TITANIUM SPONSORED RIDERS AT THE TOP AT 2012 BRITISH MX CHAMPIONSHIP, ROUND 6: HAWKSTONE PARK

It was another great day at Hawkstone Park yesterday as motocross enthusiasts were treated to another sublime performance from Raptor Titanium sponsored man-on-a-roll Kevin Strijbos of HM Plant KTM UK as he put in another perfect score and three more race wins to almost certainly cement his British Championship to continue our success with yet another British Champion on Raptor Titanium footpegs.

Strijbos was followed on the podium by fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored man Shaun Simpson of Bike It Cosworth Monster Energy Yamaha who put in a consistent 2-3-3 result to go third overall behind wildcard entrant Max Anstie who was keeping going between world rounds.

Raptor Titanium sponsored riders were at the top once again in MX2 as Mel Pocock seized back the red plate and championship points lead as HM Plant KTM UK's Elliot Banks-Browne had a shaky day with engine problems and surrendering the lead in the second race to fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored man Nicholas Aubin of Buildbase Honda who secured another race win for him this season, with Banks-Browne crashing and having to settle for 2nd behind the Frenchman.

Banks-Browne now trails Pocock by 16 points with only two more rounds to go. It was a good day for Raptor Titanium sponsored man Neville Bradshaw of Evotech Honda as he went 3rd overall for the day.

KTM RED BULL EXTENDS POINTS LEAD IN MX1 AND MX2 CHAMPIONSHIPS AT ROUND 11 IN RUSSIA, RAPTOR TITANIUM SPONSORED RIDER MEL POCOCK GETS ANOTHER PERFECT SCORE IN THE EMX CLASS

Crowds flocked to Round 11 of the FIM World MX Championship at Semigorje last weekend as the sun shined for a day of great racing.

Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Mel Pocock of Bike It Cosworth Monster Energy Yamaha got things off to a good start for British fans as he swept both motos to go 1-1 overall for another impressive performance in the EMX 250 class.

MX2

Jeff Herlings of the Factory KTM Red Bull squad extended his points tally this weekend, going 49 points ahead of Raptor Titanium sponsored Floride Pro Circuit Monster Energy Kawasaki Brit Tommy Searle, who was at a major disadvantage after a poor qualifying race put him right on the outside of the pack at the start of both races, but put in impressive performances in both races, scoring 3-2 overall result to take overall 2nd to limit the damage of a charging Herlings as much as possible, nevertheless this is a big blow for Tommy's title hopes and will be looking for plenty of race wins in the next few rounds, particularly at his home GP at Matterley Basin in mid-August.

Fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Joel Roelants, who took the overall win in Latvia last weekend, took overall 4th with a 5-4 result behind KTM Red Bull man Jeremy Van Horebeek in 3rd. Raptor Titanium man Arnaud Tonus had a consistent day as he comes back from injury to take 7th overall on the day.

DUNGEY EXTENDS POINTS LEAD AND BARCIA COMES TOP OF THE BOX AT WASHOUGAL

Perfect track and weather conditions got things off to a great start at Round 8 of the 2012 AMA Motocross Championship, with KTM Red Bull and Raptor Titanium sponsored riders Ryan Dungey qualifying fastest in the 450 class and Marvin Musquin fastest in the 250 class.

250 Lites Class

Capitalizing on his fast and furious qualifying performance was Musquin who took a storming holeshot in the first Lites moto, followed closely by the Raptor Titanium sponsored Geico Honda men Justin Barcia in second and Eli Tomac in third. Musquin managed to hold off the rampant 4-man breakaway squad at the top of the points tally in the Lites series this year and made a great job of holding off 2012 East and West Lites Supercross Champions Barcia and Tomac, as well as his KTM Red Bull team-mate Ken Roczen sitting right behind in fourth for most of the race, before the Geico men moved up to take 1st and 2nd at the chequered flag, with Musquin 3rd, Roczen 4th and fellow Geico Honda and Raptor Titanium sponsored man Wil Hahn in 5th, completing a top 5 for Raptor Titanium sponsored riders in the first race!

The second moto saw an epic clash between Geico's Justin Barcia and Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Blake Baggett, series points leader with a point to prove after a disappointing 6th in the first race for him. In third was Barcia's team-mate and fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored man Justin Bogle, with Musquin and Tomac fourth and fifth who both soon moved past Bogle to look to challenge for the race win. Baggett eventually managed to do what he does best and passed the Geico Honda man for the race win, keeping his points lead in the series, with Barcia claiming the overall win with a 1-2 on the day. Tomac passed Musquin towards the end to claim 2nd on the box and Baggett's win managed to get him 3rd step on the podium, just edging out Musquin who was overall 4th on the day, with Roczen overall 5th and Rockstar Energy Suzuki and Raptor Titanium sponsored man Blake Wharton overall 6th.

On form man and Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Mike Alessi of the Motoconcepts Suzuki team led the charge out of the gate on the first lap of the first 450 race, with fellow Raptor Titanium man Josh Grant of Jeff Ward Kawasaki in second, Monster Energy Kawasaki's Jake Weimar in third and the series leader, Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Ryan Dungey in fourth! Grant suffered a bad crash early on, losing his second place, but thankfully walked away, meaning Dungey was able to storm past Weimar and put the pressure Alessi. It looked like Alessi was done for as the rampant points leader closed him to within a second, but the Motoconcepts man held him off, racing all the way and getting a well-earned race win, with Dungey in 2nd.

Dungey didn't stumble in the second moto as he leapt out into the lead around the first corner with race one winner Mike Alessi a close second, but the KTM Red Bull and Raptor Titanium sponsored man showed why he's been so dominant this year and eased out a big lead to the chequered flag, taking yet another overall win this year and maintaining a huge points lead.

JOEL ROELANTS TAKES OVERALL VICTORY IN MX2 CLASS AT ROUND 10 AT LATVIA, AS TEAM-MATE AND FELLOW RAPTOR TITANIUM SPONSORED RIDER TOMMY SEARLE SCORES TWO DNF'S; MEANWHILE RAPTOR TITANIUM'S KEVIN STRIJBOS GETS HIS FIRST GP WIN OF THE SEASON AND ANOTHER PODIUM FINISH

Another weekend of truly miserable weather greeted motocross fans once again this year as Round 10 rolled into Kegums, Latvia for more fast and furious action through the mud.

MX2

It was an awful weekend for British man and Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Tommy Searle of the Floride Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team as he got off to a good start in the first race behind holeshotter Jose Butron and KTM Red Bull man Jeremy Van Horebeek. A bad start for Searle's championship rival Jeff Herlings meant it was looking good for Searle to potentially gain back more points on the 17-year old, but these thoughts were soon crushed as the bike came to a juddering halt in a cloud of smoke on the second lap. The victory was then handed to Searle's team-mate and fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Joel Roelants who was able to charge past Butron on lap 8 and keep the lead until the chequered flag. Herlings battled his way up to a 2nd place finish to extend his points lead over Tommy Searle who badly needed points in race 2 to keep in touch with the precocious teenager.

In the second race things went from bad to worse for Searle as a rear wheel malfunction sent him crashing out to score his second DNF of the day, despite pitting for a new rear wheel he could not get back into the race and so did not score any points for the GP, which seemingly would hand the initiative to Herlings, but he also had a difficult second race as well as his bike came to a stop four laps from the finish line to leave him struggling to finish in 18th place, giving him 7th overall on the day and handing Searle a lifeline in the title race.

With a 1-2 on the day Roelants got his first GP victory of the year, with fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored riders Arnaud Tonus of the Cosworth Monster Energy Yamaha squad coming 8th overall and Jens Getteman of Standing Construct Suzuki finishing 10th overall.

After relinquishing the red plate to championship rival Clement Desalle at Sweden two weeks ago, KTM Red Bull's Antonio Cairoli was a man on a mission to reclaim the series points lead and re-establish his dominance in the MX1 class this year.

A holeshot for Cairoli in the first race saw him do just that, sprinting away into the lead as we are all so familiar him doing these days and didn't look back from there, not looking like reneging on the lead at all and comfortably securing the victory. His team-mate Ken De Dycker came 2nd, with Factory Honda rider Rui Goncalves running home in 3rd. Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Gautier Paulin of the Kawasaki Racing Team came 4th in the first race of the tough event with Desalle trailing in 7th. Raptor Titanium's Kevin Strijbos of HM Plant KTM UK came in 10th place.

The second race saw Cairoli get off to another good start, but a crash over the table top jump left him with a slight wrist injury and relegated to fifth place. After this Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Kevin Strijbos stormed into the lead, which he held until the end securing his first GP race victory of the season, and another hard-earned podium for the fast-improving Belgian. Cairoli managed to get himself back up to 2nd to secure the overall GP victory and accomplished the goal to reclaim the series red plate.

Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Shaun Simpson of the Cosworth Monster Energy Yamaha squad came overall 8th and Paulin scored 5th overall with a 6th place in the second race to go 4-6. Paulin's team-mate Xavier Boog scored overall 10th place.

RYAN DUNGEY WINS IT AGAIN AT SPRING CREEK, WITH FELLOW RAPTOR TITANIUM SPONSORED RIDER ELI TOMAC WINNING THE OVERALL LITES

It was the Raptor Titanium sponsored KTM Red Bull USA team that were dominant in qualifying with Ryan Dungey going quickest in the 450 class, and Ken Roczen setting the fastest time in the 250 Lites class.

250 Lites Class

Despite Roczen looking very good indeed in qualifying, he didn't have the best of days as fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Justin Barcia of the Geico Honda squad stormed the holeshot with Roczen in a close second. Five laps in and Tomac was pressuring Roczen for the second position. However, we've seen it happen time and time again so far this season and somehow Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Blake Baggett sprinted into the lead late into the race to secure the victory in race 1, with Barcia 2nd, Tomac 3rd and Roczen in 4th. It was another string of Raptor Titanium sponsored riders in the 250 class as Barcia nad Tomac's team-mate Wil Hahn came 5th, Rockstar Suzuki's Blake Wharton in 6th and Roczen's KTM Red Bull team-mate Marvin Musquin in 7th.

Race 2 saw both Raptor Titanium sponsored Geico Honda men Justin Barcia and Eli Tomac squabbling for the lead on lap 1, with Tomac edging out his team-mate to take the early advantage. Neither could rest on their laurels though as the winner of race 1, a rampant Blake Baggett sat just behind third place, with Ken Roczen in fourth. After passing Barcia and going after Tomac, Baggett made a small error and stuffed a jump, dropping him back to seventh. Tomac was able to hang on for victory after that, and secured a 1-3 result on the day, giving him the overall victory! Barcia got another 2nd place, giving him 2nd overall, with Baggett managing to claw his way back up to 4th, securing him an overall 3rd place, keeping his series points lead.

It was another pedestrian win for Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Ryan Dungey in the main 450 Class at the weekend as he easily strolled to victory in both races, with the absence of big names such as James Stewart, Ryan Villopoto and Trey Canard the KTM Red Bull USA and Raptor Titanium sponsored rider looks nigh-on invincible and has almost certainly sewn up the championship for KTM this year. It was also a good weekend for Dungey's fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Mike Alessi who claimed 2nd overall with a 3-2 result and remains 14 points ahead of Kawasaki man Jake Weimar.

DUNGEY CONTINUES WINNING STREAK IN 450 MOTO CLASS AND RAPTOR TITANIUM SPONSORED RIDERS GO 2ND TO 8TH IN THE 250 LITES CLASS

The thundery forecast looked grim for Round 6 of the 2012 AMA Motocross Championship at Redbud on Saturday, as a dominant Ryan Dungey continued his winning streak after the demise of James Stewart going 1-1 once again to almost certainly cement the 2012 Championship. The red hot temperatures did not phase the 2010 Champion, and he won both races ahead of a struggling field. The 250 Lites saw the man with the edge this year dominate both races, Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Blake Baggett looked good as Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Justin Barcia held him close with a 2-2 result behind Baggett.

250 Lites Class

It was Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Marvin Musquin of KTM Red Bull USA with the hole-shot in race 1 but was soon overtaken by fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Justin Barcia of the Geico Honda squad who charged into the lead. Musquin's team-mate Ken Roczen sat in third place, with Raptor Titanium's Eli Tomac of Geico Honda in fourth and Kyle Peters of Star Valli Yamaha in fifth. Baggett held back in sixth place but was soon to make his characteristic charge up through the pack which has been an extremely potent tactic for the Kawasaki man this year, and Saturday was no exception, dispatching rider after rider until he had hunted down the double East Lites Supercross Champion to clinch the win late in the race.

It was prolific hole-shotter Jessy Nelson first off the mark in race 2 followed by Raptor Titanium sponsored riders Wil Hahn of Geico Honda in second and Marvin Musquin in third. Baggett didn't waste any time securing the lead in this race though as he sprinted into the lead on lap 1. Soon after though Baggett made a mistake and surrendered the lead to Barcia, but Baggett was too strong on the day and soon retook the lead to go 1-1 and extend his championship points lead.

450 Motocross Class

Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Ryan Dungey of KTM Red Bull USA carries on making it look easy in the 450 Motocross Class this year as his main championship rival James Stewart had some problems as he comes back from a wrist injury after a perfect start to the season.

Dungey repeated his performance from race 1, leading every lap and securing the 1-1 result on the day to cement an almost certain 2012 Championship victory.

TOMMY SEARLE CLOSES POINTS GAP ON HERLINGS IN MX2 AND DESALLE TAKES POINTS LEAD IN MX1 AS ROUND 9 OF 2012 FIM WORLD MX CHAMPIONSHIP GOES TO SWEDEN

More of the same, weather-wise, unfortunately greeted motocross fans at Uddevalla as the characteristic rainy conditions seen at many of the events this year plagued the Swedish round of the championship, making conditions very tough once again for the riders and teams involved.

MX2

It was Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Tommy Searle of Floride Pro Circuit Monster Energy Kawasaki who once again took another overall win to close down series leader and championship rival Jeff Herlings of KTM Red Bull to bring the Dutchman to just 16 points ahead going into Round 10 at Latvia next weekend.

Herlings got the better of Searle in the first race, managing to pass him and go on to win the first moto, however crashed with his team-mates at the beginning of the second race, having to battle his way up to 7th place and 2nd overall for the day. Searle took a 2-1 result on the day and the overall win.

Raptor Titanium sponsored riders had a good day further down the field as well, as Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Dylan Ferrandis of Bud Racing Kawasaki got 3rd overall on the podium with a 4-3 result. It was an astonishingly successful return to racing for Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Zach Osborne of Bike It Cosworth Monster Energy Yamaha, who scored 5-5 on the day to collect 5th overall in his first race in GP's this year after repeated injuries. Searle's team-mate and fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Joel Roelants scored 7th overall.

MX1

It was Rockstar Energy Suzuki's Clement Desalle who has seemed to have finally found his rhythm and winning ways in Sweden as he scored 1-1 and the overall win in MX1, sweeping away the competition. Desalle has been quietly racking up the points all season so far, and now looks very good in the title race. Antonio Cairoli had a rotten weekend, scoring two DNF's for the first time in his career due to a rock getting jammed in his wheel in race 1 and a heavy crash in Race 2 saw him unable to continue, meaning his huge points lead going to Sweden is now erased and he loses the red plate to Desalle.

Raptor Titanium sponsored riders once again littered the top ten, with Christophe Pourcel of CP377 Monster Energy Kawasaki taking a 2-2 result behind Desalle to take overall 2nd and maintains 3rd in the Championship points standings.

Another 3rd place podium spot for Raptor Titanium's Kevin Strijbos of HM Plant KTM UK continues Kevin's fantastic run of form at the moment at British and World Championship level. Christophe Pourcel's team-mate, brother and fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Sebastian Pourcel scored a 4th overall on the day, and another great result for Steve Dixon's Bike It Cosworth Monster Energy Yamaha and Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Shaun Simpson who managed an impressive 5th overall on the day.

Gautier Paulin of the Kawasaki Racing Team battled to 7th overall to keep a consistent points tally, with team-mate Xavier Boog scoring 8th overall. A fantastic result for Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Marc De Reuver of the Lanes Kawasaki Racing Team who managed an overall 10th place on the day, a great result for him.

This meant that 7 of the top 10 in MX1 were on Raptor Titanium footpegs, an excellent for us!

JONNY WALKER WINS EDDY EXTREME ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP

Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Jonny Walker continued his success of the past few weeks by winning the British Eddy Extreme Enduro Championship as he held off fellow Raptor Titanium sponsored rider Graham Jarvis of D3 Husaberg in a thrilling final round at Enduroland, Adstone for the championship win.

Fresh back from success at Erzberg and Romaniacs and there was no time to rest for the Raptor Titanium sponsored KORR team, straight into the final round of the Eddy Extreme Championship and all eyes would be on the close battle between Raptor Titanium sponsored riders Jonny Walker and Graham Jarvis.

Jonny started the last round with a 2 point advantage and both riders are on top form at this moment.

The final of the 3 round championship at Enduroland in Adstone would be very
different from the previous rounds, the course a combination of a difficult very
slippy Enduro loop with cambers, wooded sections combined with a superb
outdoor Endurocross track made for a circuit of just over 3 minutes and great
racing in all classes. The format would be 2 x 20 minute races on the full
course followed by 2 x 10 minute races on the Endurocross track, all races to
carry full points for the championship.

Jonny started race 1 with a holeshot with his main rival Jarvis in hot pursuit. Still riding with a shoulder injury from Romaniancs Jonny was riding defensively and for several laps Jarvis kept the pressure on but in the last part of the race Jonny would open up a solid lead as he started to relax and find a good rhythm.

Race 2 would again see Jonny lead from the start but this time from lap one he
was more confident and you could see it in his riding, in the first lap he pulled
out a large gap on the rest of the field and nobody would get close to challenge
him and again he took the chequered flag.

Race 3 would be using only the Endurocross circuit, which is Jonny's domain
and he put on a masterful display with another start to finish win and with that enough points to deservedly win the 2012 British Eddy Extreme Enduro
Championship.

Race 4 was time to relax and have fun, again Jonny took the holeshot but Jarvis was in a much more determined mood and showed why he is such a difficult opponent, managing to pass Jonny and the pair for several laps pushed each other to entertain the crowd, eventually Jonny found a gap in the last couple of laps to take another win.
